A Safe Place for Healing and Growth

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" ~Lao-Tzu

Welcome to your first step.

The Lotus and The Enso:

In Buddhist symbolism the lotus is symbolic of purity of the body, speech, and mind as while rooted in the mud, its flowers blossom on long stalks as if floating above the muddy waters of attachment and desire. It is also symbolic of detachment as drops of water easily slide off its petals.

In Zen Buddhism, an ensō (円相, , "circle" ) is a circle that is hand-drawn in one or two uninhibited brushstrokes to express a moment when the mind is free to let the body create. The ensō symbolizes absolute enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe, and mu (the void).

Every stage of life brings Transition. We are constantly going through changes and we often adapt with ease, but every stage brings challenges and milestones to meet. Sometimes these changes are positive- a new job, a graduation, a marriage, a new baby- and sometimes they are less welcome in our lives - loss of a loved one through death or circumstance, loss of a pet, the end of a relationship. Welcome or not, changes can bring major disruption to our lives and our emotions.  These times can be confusing and complicated, having support can help us to transition more smoothly, create a better understanding of ourselves and guide us towards the best outcome.
